The Medium-chain triglyceride fatty acids that are in coconut oil are what is interesting for ketosis.
Many claim these are C6, C8, C10 and C12 (the C stands for carbon atoms, and the number how many of those carbon atoms are in one molecule), however only the C8 and C10 are really interesting for the effects we are looking for, and the C8 is the most effective.
